“When a fly touches a Venus flytrap plant, the trap shuts, and the plant secretes an enzyme to kill and digest the insect,” she explained. “With the LAS Active System, when the surfactant molecule encounters a debris or microorganism on the surface, the tail of the molecule entraps the debris by forming a micelle, and then penetrates the bacterial cell membrane to kill the bacteria. Self Sterilizing
Steam sterilization is a method of decontamination for your distiller and storage tank. It can be done by allowing the unit to operate without the fan, thus allowing steam to pass through the system and into the storage tank.

Modern Autoclaves need high purity water
Statim, StatClave and Bravo autoclaves require pure steam distilled water and will reject impure water. Use less pure water and their lifespan could be shortened. Piercing and Tattoo studios and dentists should use only pure, steam-distilled water in their autoclaves. Distill and test it yourself with your own TDS meter to below 5ppm TDS.

Add an in-line Water Softener
This pretreatment accessory softens the feed water before it is distilled to reduce residue build-up and scaling in the boiling chamber. Unlike other softeners the Softener Cartridge Kit requires no regeneration as the cartridge is simply discarded and replaced. To calculate the number of gallons that can be softened before the cartridge needs to be replaced you simply divide the capacity of the cartridge by the hardness of the water and divide by the maximum capacity of the distiller.
