I keep several types of single use disposable devices available for convenience.
Symbol that signifies "Do Not Reuse/Single Use Only" for disposable one-time use products
Although more than a decade has passed since I used forceps of any sort to grasp tissue for piercing procedures, I have found that these and other such small disposable plastic tweezers are useful to secure and facilitate jewelry insertion in areas that my fingers do not easily fit.
Many of my colleagues have found these and disposable single use tubes useful for safe transition to an all disposable piercing procedure. Erik Dakota once called these a "freehand disposable aid" as they are available as an engineering control to help avoid sharps injury. One might use this to grasp tissue, or alternately to grasp and isolate the sharp tip of a needle after it exits a piercing.
They are clean and ready to sterilize for a single use.

Other uses for them around the studio:
- To hold jewelry for steaming and anodizing for a clean, passive ASTM F-86 surface finish for titanium body jewelry.
- They do not scratch jewelry, are heat-resistant and do not conduct electricity.
- To use as pick up tweezers for aseptic piercing tray set up, packaging and Statim Sys-TM and Surgical trays for sterilization.
- It is safer not to handle clean, new items such as sharps and jewelry when preparing for sterilization.
- The tip can be modified for different purposes.
- Part of the oval can be cut away to make curved tweezers.
